Stupid election assignment, distracting me from my important Buyer Beware duties...
Anyway, I spoke with my dear mother on the telly phone last night and it turns out her bankruptcy had nothing to do with credit card debt! It was NOT PAYING HER TAXES! Which is much, much worse! Like, doesn't that warrant jail time?
She just ended up owing the government assloads of cashola.
So I'm grateful my mother never went to jail for not paying her taxes, but I would have preferred if she had massive amounts of credit card debt so I could ask her about it for the project.
